Our team transformed an existing classroom (Building D-15) at Norris Middle School in Bakersfield, California, into a fully functional administrative office suite. The scope included complete interior demolition, careful removal and relocation of existing cabinetry, installation of new HVAC supply and return lines with dedicated zoning, modification and extension of the fire alarm system to meet current code requirements, and construction of a new partition wall with a secure exterior door. Following structural and systems work, we repaired interior drywall and exterior stucco, applied fresh paint throughout, and finished the space with new commercial-grade carpet and base. The converted room now provides Norris School District staff with a bright, modern office environment while maintaining full compliance with educational facility standards – all completed during summer break with zero impact to the school year.
